Richard Mann

He studied drawing at Connecticut College before dropping out and moving to San Francisco in time to make the Haight-Ashbury scene as it hit bottom. Continuing the westerly drift, he lodged in the Hawaiian Islands where he lived for more than twenty years. At the University of Hawaii Richard studied intaglio and lithographic printmaking, papermaking and sculpture, earning a B.A. in Art.In Maine again since 1999, Richard lives in Morrill with his wife Beverly, a mask theatre performer and teacher. Etching continues to be his primary fascination, as it affords marks and textures unobtainable in any other medium. His prints have been exhibited in Hawaii, California and Maine.
